f/stop breast cancer
Some time ago I was approached by Lydia Shannon, a photographer in Florida, about participating in an auction for charity. That charity is an organization she started called f/stop breast cancer. I am always willing to help people out in any way I can, but I have to admit, this scared me a little bit. Not because of what it represented, but because of what Lydia wanted from me. Here's where my part kicks in.
Along with some wonderful photographers, f/stop breast cancer will be auctioning off a 60 minute mentor session with me ... with ALL the funds going to fight breast cancer through Lydia's charity. If you go to the website, you can see all the wonderful photographers participating in this great event. Along with mentoring sessions, a bunch of products are being auctioned off as well.
The auction will run from October 14th through the 19th.
So why am i scared? Having someone bid/pay to speak with me makes me feel a bit awkward. ha. I have no problem doing it, I've just never had that happen. BUT, this is for a wonderful charity and it involves photography - there was no way i wasn't going to be a part of it!
So, if you'd like to bid on a mentor session with me .. awesome. If not, awesome. But please check out all the other photographers involved. There may be one you WOULD like to bid on. Together, we can make a difference and fight this horrible disease.
You can follow the even by following Lydia on Twitter and also but checking out the website which i listed above.
Here is the video from Lydia describing the event:
