Dani + Kyle. A Green Lake Park Engagement Session.

7 years (or so) ago Dani came into my office at a community bank where I worked  (yes, I was a banker before leaving that career to become a photographer) and sat down at my desk to discuss her accounts.  I remember it vividly because we talked about photography and at that time, I was close to leaving to pursue my dream and I told her to do the same thing.  I tell everyone that ... screw money, do whatever the hell you want.  If you are happy with your career money and success will follow.  I firmly believe that.

Some time after Dani left my office, and I moved on from my banking career, she asked me to meet up for lunch to talk about starting a photography business.  And for the 2nd time in a couple years we chatted about photography and I welcomed her to the world that I was falling in love with.  She was excited and also nervous - as was I just starting out.  Granted I was only a couple years in and still didn't consider myself to be successful however I did know a few things about starting out and was doing pretty darn good.

So when, last year, Dani asked me to be her wedding photographer I couldn't have been more honored and humbled.  I never would have thought that after that meeting in my office years prior I'd be friends with her for years and photographing her wedding.  It's pretty darn cool to think about how it did and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you, Dani, for listening to my ramble on in my office ... to follow any advice I gave ... and for trusting me to photograph your wedding.  It's going to be amazing.
